ABOUT US
At Discover Green Montessori we understand the need for nature-based programs for children. We are pleased to be able to provide experiences that foster curiosity, confidence and resilience. The outdoors is our classroom and it will allow children to explore and play through hands-on learning while helping them reach their full potential. Each child will develop essential life skills through guided discovery, risk-taking, and problem-solving. We encourage independence, creativity, and teamwork.
Discover Green Montessori is owned by two Early Childhood Educator sisters who share the same passion in Early Childhood Education. The owners of Discover Green Montessori are unlicensed, but ethically follow guidelines provided by the Ontario Day Nurseries Act. Our focus continues to be nurturing the wholeness of the child - emotionally, socially and mentally while embracing the joy of outdoor learning in all seasons.
"What the hand does, the mind remembers."

Our Program
"The child has a mind able to absorb knowledge. They have the power to teach themself."
- Maria Montessori
The Montessori Method of Education is followed whereby children learn at their own pace and absorb vast amounts of information during their sensitive period of life.

We have five distinct areas of learning: Sensorial, Language, Math, Culture and Practical Life.
At Discover Green Montessori, we enable children to use their natural abilities to investigate, interact, develop and create.
